it is written that the use of prepositions is important for the correct understanding of important and actual issues, in particular the issue of power, I am writing commentaries on the use of these prepositions. As a piece of advice on how to read the text, you can read the verse in translation and/or in the original (if you have the opportunity), and then the commentary on prepositions here. Next, you need to understand which part of the verse the commentary refers to, and consider what it affirms — or less often, denies — that is essential to understanding. This thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects against the mistakes mentioned above.

Hebrews IX, 24 — ‘οὐ γὰρ εἰς χειροποίητα εἰσῆλθεν ἅγια Χριστός’ - ‘ou gar eis kheiropoieta eiselthen hagia CHristos’ - ‘for Christ did not enter into a handmade sanctuary'. ‘εἰς αὐτὸν τὸν οὐρανόν’ - ‘eis auton ton ouranon’ - ‘into the heaven itself’. That is, in both cases where to.
Hebrews IX, 25 — ‘εἰς τὰ ἅγια’ - ‘eis ta hagia’ - ‘into the sanctuary’. ‘ἐν αἵματι ἀλλοτρίῳ’ - ‘en haimati allotrio’ - ‘in the blood of another (foreign); with the blood of another (foreign)’. This is to say what gives the sacramental action its significance.
Hebrews IX, 26 — ‘ἀπὸ καταβολῆς κόσμου’ - ‘apo kataboles kosmou’ - ‘from the foundations of the world’. The preposition ‘apo’ indicates the beginning of the count. ‘εἰς ἀθέτησιν ἁμαρτίας’ - ‘eis athetesin hamartias’ - ‘for the cancellation of sin; for the nullification of sin; for the abandonment of sin’. That is, so that the sin does not continue to linger hopelessly.
Hebrews IX, 28 — ‘ἅπαξ προσενεχθεὶς εἰς τὸ πολλῶν ἀνενεγκεῖν ἁμαρτίας’ - ‘hapax prosenekhtheis eis to pollon anenenkein hamartias’ - ‘once was offered (sacrificed) in order to carry up (take) the sins of many’. The preposition ‘eis’ indicates the purpose of the action. ‘ἐκ δευτέρου’ - ‘ek deuterou’ - ‘a second time’. A common expression. ‘εἰς σωτηρίαν’ - ‘eis soterian’ - ‘for salvation; into salvation’. That is, for what.

Mark VIII, 27 — ‘εἰς τὰς κώμας Καισαρείας τῆς Φιλίππου’ - ‘eis tas komas Kaisareias tes Philippou’ - ‘into the villages of Caesarea Philippi’. ‘ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ’ - ‘en te hodo’ - ‘on the way; on the road’.
Mark viii, 31 — ‘ἀποδοκιμασθῆναι ὑπὸ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων καὶ τῶν ἀρχιερέων καὶ τῶν γραμματέων’ - ‘apodokimasthenai hypo ton presbyteron kai ton arkhiereon kai ton grammateon’ - ‘and be rejected by the elders, and the high priests and the scribes’. The preposition ‘hypo’ is here with the genitive case and indicates that it is a passive voice, i.e. it refers to Christ's suffering.
