(Galatians V, 11-21)
Galatians V, 13 — ‘εἰς ἀφορμὴν’ - ‘eis aphormen’ - ‘for an occasion’. That is, freedom should not serve as an occasion for the flesh. Freedom, therefore, serves as a beginning for the spiritual, for everything to which the spirit moves a person. Therefore, spirit and freedom are inextricably linked in these words of the Apostle Paul. In the writings of the Fathers, freedom is often associated with reason, with comprehension, but here freedom is something more - it is freedom according to God's intention - freedom for the spiritual. Nor does this mean that the spiritual cannot include the physical - for example, elsewhere Paul says that ‘even what you do in the body is spiritual, because it is done in Christ’.

Galatians V, 14 — ‘ἐν ἑνὶ λόγῳ’ - ‘en eni logo’ - ‘in one word’. ‘ἐν τῷ’ - ‘en to’ - ‘in that’. A common expression.

Galatians V, 15 — ‘ὑπ’ ἀλλήλων - ‘hyp allelon’ - ‘one under the other; one through the other’. The preposition ‘hypo’ in the form before the next vowel, here with the genitive case, emphasises the possibility of people ‘using’ other people and warns against it.

Galatians V, 18 — ‘ὑπὸ νόμον’ - ‘hypo nomon’ - ‘under the Law’. The preposition here is ‘hypo’ with an accusative.

(Luke VIII, 1-3)
Luke VIII, 1 — ‘ἐν τῷ καθεξῆς’ - ‘en to kathexes’ - ‘after that’. A common expression.

Luke VIII, 2 — ‘ἀπὸ πνευμάτων’ - ‘apo pneumaton’ - ‘from the spirits’. ‘ἀφ’ ἧς' - aph es - from whom. The preposition ‘apo’ in its form before a vowel in both cases emphasises that the expulsion of the evil spirits was complete, final, and the healing was complete. I would also mention that Saint Mary Magdalene is my beloved saint.
