Dedicated to Emma Kok.

(2 Timothy I, 1-2, 8-18 )
The readings from the Second Letter of the Apostle Paul to Timothy begin.

2 Timothy I, 2, 8-10 — 'ἡμῶν' - 'emon' - 'us' (our).

2 Timothy I, 9, 14 — 'ἡμᾶς' - 'emas' - 'us'. 'ἡμῖν' - 'emin' - 'us'.

2 Timothy I, 12 — 'ἡμέραν' - 'emeran' - (of) 'day'.

2 Timothy I, 13 — ἐμοῦ - 'emou' - (from) 'me'.

2 Timothy I, 18 — 'ἡμέρᾳ' - 'emera' - 'day'.

After greeting Timothy, the apostle Paul calls on him to testify boldly about God, about Jesus Christ, and about the work of the apostle Paul.

Paul writes about the events that happened to him in his preaching and patience for Christ. He also testifies that the Lord decided to bestow grace on the faithful before the creation of the world — that is, in His decision before time and the world were created.

(Luke XXI, 37 — XXII, 8 )
Luke gives a brief summary of the events with Judas Iscariot — satan entered him and he decided to betray Jesus to the Jewish elders. The other evangelists give more details, including Judas' motives.

The Lord warns us against unrepentance, because it is through it that the evil one can gain access to a person, even if they have a high vocation and the Lord has shown much care for them.

There is also a brief description of the preparations for Easter by Jesus and his disciples.

Glory be to Thee, our God, glory be to Thee!
