it is written that the use of prepositions is important for the correct understanding of important and actual issues, in particular the issue of power, I am writing commentaries on the use of these prepositions. As a piece of advice on how to read the text, you can read the verse in translation and/or in the original (if you have the opportunity), and then the commentary on prepositions here. Next, you need to understand which part of the verse the commentary refers to, and consider what it affirms — or less often, denies — that is essential to understanding. This thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects against the mistakes mentioned above.
1 John I, 8, 10 — ‘ἐν ἡμῖν’ - ‘en hemin’ - ‘in us’.
1 John I, 9 — ‘ἀπὸ πάσης ἀδικίας’ - ‘apo pases adikias’ - ‘out of all unrighteousness’. The preposition ‘apo’ indicates that the cleansing is complete, total.
1 John II, 3 — ‘ἐν τούτῳ γινώσκομεν’ - ‘en touto ginoskomen’ - ‘in this we come to know; thereby we come to know’. Both translations are possible.

Mark XIII, 32 — ‘οὐδὲ οἱ ἄγγελοι ἐν οὐρανῷ’ - ‘oude oi angeloi en ourano’ - ‘neither angels in heaven’. Here the singular ‘heaven’ is the spiritual heaven.
Mark XIV, 1 — ‘ἐν δόλῳ’ - ‘en dolo’ - ‘in stealth; with stealth’. It is more likely the second, since Christ is without sin (deceit is sin - ‘He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house’, says the Psalm), but it is possible (though not probable) that the elders had hoped to catch and judge Jesus for some sin, i.e. they hoped for a mistake on Jesus' part.
Mark XIV, 2 — ‘μὴ ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ’ - ‘me en te heorte’ - ‘not on the (recurring) feast’.

Matthew IV, 25 — ‘ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ Δεκαπόλεως καὶ Ἱεροσολύμων καὶ Ἰουδαίας καὶ πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου’ - ‘apo tes Galilaias kai Dekapoleos kai Hierosolymon kai Ioudaias kai peran tou Iordanou’ - ‘from Galilee, and the Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judaea, and beyond the Jordan (the lands beyond the territories adjacent to the Jordan). The preposition ‘apo’ indicates that people were leaving their homes.
Matthew V, 1 — ‘εἰς τὸ ὄρος’ - ‘eis to oros’ - ‘onto the mountain; up the mountain'. A common expression.
Matthew V, 12 — ‘ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς’ - ‘en tois ouranois’ - ‘in the heavens’. The plural here refers to the spiritual heavens.
