1 Corinthians X, 5 — 'ἐν τοῖς πλείοσιν αὐτῶν' - 'en tois pleiosin auton' - 'in many of them; with many of them'. Both translations with the corresponding verb are correct. 'κατεστρώθησαν' - 'katestrothesan' - 'scattered over the ground'. 'ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ' - 'en te eremo' - 'in the wilderness'.
1 Corinthians X, 6, 11 — 'ἡμῶν' - 'emon' - 'us'. 'εἰς τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἡμᾶς ἐπιθυμητὰς κακῶν' - 'eis to me einai emas epithymetas kakon' - 'lest we be eager desirers of evil'. The preposition 'eis' here indicates a reason, a purpose.
1 Corinthians X, 8 — 'πορνεύωμεν' - 'porneuomen' - 'to commit fornication'. 'ἡμέρᾳ' - 'emera' - 'day'.
1 Corinthians X, 9 — 'ὑπὸ τῶν ὄφεων' - 'hypo ton opheon' - 'from serpents; under serpents'. The preposition 'hypo' indicates that the meaning is twofold - people died from poisonous snakes, but those who test Christ, liken the serpent in Paradise who tempted the first humans, and are under the influence of the serpent, that is, the devil

1 Corinthians X, 10 — 'ὑπὸ τοῦ ὀλοθρευτοῦ' - 'hypo tou olothroutou' - 'from the destroyer; under the destroyer'. Similarly to the previous verse, the twofold meaning is that spiritually those who are dissatisfied and complain, who reproach unjustly, are destroyers, destroyers of themselves first and foremost.
1 Corinthians X, 11 — 'εἰς οὓς τὰ τέλη τῶν αἰώνων' - 'eis ous ta tele ton aionon' - 'in whom the end of the age; to whom the end of the age'. Rather the second, for the end of the age is not in people, but has come to them.

Matthew XVI, 6, 11, 12 — 'ἀπὸ τῆς ζύμης' - 'apo tes zymes' - 'from leaven'. The preposition 'apo' emphasises the need to distance oneself from Pharisaism and Sadduceeism (the latter being an image of disbelief). 'ἀπὸ τῆς διδαχῆς' - 'apo tes didakhes' - 'from teaching; from doctrine; teaching' - see the explanation just now.
Matthew XVI, 7, 8 — 'ἐν ἑαυτοῖς' - 'en eautois' - 'in themselves; internally'. The preposition 'en' indicates that their condition was typical, characteristic, habitual for them.
