Glory Be to Jesus Christ!

(Ephesians II, 19 — III, 7)
Ephesians II, 21, 22 — ‘ἐν ᾧ’ - ‘en o’ - ‘in Whom’. ‘εἰς ναὸν ἅγιον ἐν κυρίῳ’ - ‘eis naon agion en kyrio’ - ‘into the holy temple in the Lord’. The preposition ‘eis’ indicates movement and development - where to.

Ephesians II, 22 — ‘εἰς κατοικητήριον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν πνεύματι’ - ‘eis katoiketerion tou theou en pneumati’ - ‘into the dwelling place of God in the Spirit (by the Spirit)’.

Ephesians III, 2 — ‘εἰς ὑμᾶς’ - ‘eis ymas’ - ‘in you; for you’. Rather, it is the second meaning. Paul did not receive the gift of grace in the Gentiles, nor in the Christians who had previously been Gentiles, but for them, in order to bring them to Christ.

Ephesians III, 3 — ‘ἐν ὀλίγῳ’ - ‘en oligo’ - ‘in a few; in short’. A common expression.

Ephesians III, 4 — ‘ἐν τῷ μυστηρίῳ’ - ‘en to mysterio’ - ‘in the mystery; by the mystery’. Paul implies that his understanding is partial in relation to the whole mystery of Christ, which is greater than all human understanding, as if it ‘encompasses’ Paul's understanding, which reveals a part of it.

Ephesians III, 5 — ‘ἐν πνεύματι’ - ‘en pneumati’ - ‘in the Spirit; by the Spirit’. Both translations are possible, the first indicating the abiding of the apostles and prophets in the Holy Spirit, and the second indicating the manner of Revelation - revealed by the Spirit Himself.

Ephesians III, 6 — ‘ἐν Χριστῷ’ - ‘en CHristo’ - ‘in Christ’.

Luke IX, 26 — ‘ἐν τῇ δόξῃ’ - ‘en te doxe’ - ‘in the glory’.
