2 Corinthians VIII, 7 — ‘ἐν παντὶ’ - ‘en panti’ - ‘in everything; by all’. Both translations are possible. ‘ἐξ ὑμῶν ἐν ἡμῖν’ - ‘ex ymon en emin’ - ‘from you to us’. ‘ἐν ταύτῃ’ - ‘en taute’ - ‘in this one; by this one’. Again, both translations are possible.
2 Corinthians VIII, 10 — ‘ἐν τούτῳ’ - ‘en touto’ - ‘in this’. ‘ἀπὸ πέρυσι’ - ‘apo perysi’ - ‘since last year’. A common expression.
2 Corinthians VIII, 11 — ‘ἐκ τοῦ ἔχειν’ - ‘ek tou ekhein’ - ‘from the extent who has’. The preposition ‘ek’ emphasises the significance of the state of wealth in this matter, that it cannot be overlooked.
2 Corinthians VIII, 13 — ‘ἐξ ἰσότητος’ - ‘ex isotetos’ - ‘from equality’. ‘ἐν τῷ νῦν καιρῷ’ - ‘en to vyv kairo’ - ‘in the present time’. ‘εἰς τὸ ἐκείνων ὑστέρημα’ - ‘your abundance will be for their lack’. The preposition ‘eis’ emphasises the ‘dynamic of help’ - the richer can and are called to support the poorer.
2 Corinthians VIII, 14 — ‘εἰς τὸ ὑμῶν ὑστέρημα’ - ‘eis to ymon ysterema’ - ‘’in your lack‘’. Similar to the above.

As for the reading from the Apostle, Paul writes about the apostolic work, with many challenges but with many fruits, and the great martyr in her virtuous life and suffering for Christ was likened to that work.
Glory be to Thee, our God, glory be to Thee!
