Romans XI, 6 — ‘ἐξ ἔργων’ - ‘ex ergon’ - ‘from (by) works’.

Romans XI, 8 — ‘ἡμέρας’ - ‘emeras’ - ‘day’. Here again Paul, following the Old Testament people, does not distinguish between God's permission and will, as he quotes the Old Testament where this is evident. God allowed them to be in unbelief, not willed it.
