Glory Be to Jesus Christ!
☀️
2 Corinthians 8:16 — ‘ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ’ - ‘en te kardia’ - ‘in the heart’.
2 Corinthians VIII, 18 — ‘ἐν τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ’ - ‘en to euangelio’ - ‘in the Gospel’.
2 Corinthians VIII, 19 — ‘ὑπὸ τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν’ - ‘hypo ton ekklesion’ - ‘under the Churches; through the Churches’. The preposition ‘hypo’ with the genitive case. Rather, the second translation is more appropriate in terms of meaning.
2 Corinthians VIII, 20 — ‘ἐν τῇ ἁδρότητι’ - ‘en te adroteti’ - ‘in this abundance; by this abundance’. Both variants are possible, the meaning of which is not entirely clear, but the general idea is obvious. ‘ὑφ’ ἡμῶν' - hyph emon
- through us; under us
. Rather, the first translation emphasises the service character.
2 Corinthians VIII, 22, 23, IX, 5 — ‘εἰς ὑμᾶς’ - ‘eis ymas’ - ‘’with you’.
2 Corinthians VIII, 24 — ‘εἰς αὐτοὺς’ - ‘eis autous’ - ‘with them; them’. ‘εἰς πρόσωπον’ - ‘eis prosopon’ - ‘in front of the face; before’. A common expression.
2 Corinthians IX, 1 — ‘εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους’ - ‘eis tous agious’ - ‘in the saints; to the saints’. The precise meaning is unclear, but the general sense is clear, and both translations are possible.
2 Corinthians IX, 2 — ‘ἀπὸ πέρυσι’ - ‘apo perysi’ - ‘last year’. A common expression.
2 Corinthians IX, 3 — ‘ἐν τῷ μέρει’ - ‘en to merei’ - ‘in this case’. A common expression.
2 Corinthians IX, 4 — ‘ἐν τῇ ὑποστάσει ταύτῃ’ - ‘en te hypostasei taute’ - ‘in this confidence; in this matter’. The exact meaning of the phrase is unclear here, but it is only generally understood.

Luke IV, 1 — ´ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἰορδάνου‘ - ápo tou Iordanou’ - ‘from the Jordan’. The preposition ‘apo’ indicates here that Jesus had completely left the land by the Jordan. ‘ἐν τῷ πνεύματι’ - ‘en to pneumati’ - ‘in the Spirit’. ‘ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ’ - ‘en te eremo’ - ‘in the wilderness’.
