🇬🇧 Glory be to Jesus Christ! 🌞
God is Righteous, and righteous people are pleasing Him. At the same time, God does not look at a person’s face, but at their heart, at their deeds, at the person themselves, not at their status or position in society, their origin, or other similar characteristics.
The Apostle James also writes about this in reference to people
themselves:

Also, today’s reading partially overlaps with one of the recent ones, so I will repeat here verses 14-16:
Paul tells us what the ‘work of the Law’ is, and how the Law
manifests itself in a person(s).
Regarding the work of the Law
, Paul uses words with the prefix
συν-, which can be translated as together with, co(n)-
. Here we see
the Law as an assistant to man in living in accordance with God’s will,
in cognition of God.
And this is the value of the Law in this work
. If it is there (for
example, among devout Gentiles), then they are an example of the Law in
themselves, and if it is not, if there is a violation of the Law, of
God’s will, then the external forms of the Law, in particular
circumcision among the Jews, have no real meaning, and accordingly,
their praise in this case becomes a reason for their condemnation.
The second calling of Jesus’ disciples. John the Theologian writes about the first one in his Gospel in chapter I. And the last one is described by the synoptics, who describe the vocation of the same apostles-fishermen after a miraculous fishing trip.
What is important is the disciples’ trust in the Jesus they already know.
To the saints:
There are many good writings about the Beatitudes, including those in
the Law of God:

The saints are examples in the fulfilment of these commandments.
They are also examples of faith, so the reading is about faith.
