A Lot of Joy from God!

(Romans VIII, 22-27)

On corruption, see in particular (regarding the book of Genesis):

On hope, Paul means that the very definition of hope indicates that hope no longer refers to what is obvious, but to what is not obvious. In our modern language we use the word hope in a variety of ways, even when it refers to something obvious, but Paul used it in relation to the non-obvious. You could say that when something becomes obvious and present, evident, manifest, then hope gives way to knowledge and certainty. But the faithful in Christ wait eagerly and patiently for the time of this manifestation, for the Kingdom of God, with hope.

One of the most striking testimonies of the Holy Spirit is that He is a Person, a Personality, a Hypostasis, because only a rational being, a person, can intercede. That is why the faithful often say in prayer: Intercede for us, O God, by Your grace!.

This is also an important place for Trinitarian theology, as it clearly shows that there is no complete general correspondence between the manifestations of the Trinity in creation and the relationship between the Hypostases in the Godhead. In particular, this is most evident in the final commentary.

(Matthew X, 23-31)

The beginning speaks of persecution and the need to preach the Gospel to other people instead of paying much attention to the persecutors. That is, the disciples need to use their time and other resources wisely and go on with their preaching.

As for the promise to come in advance, we can understand that even before the Second Coming there will still be a field for mission, that is, there will be a spiritual field for work.

There is a good essay on Matthew X, 25-33 here:

Matthew V, 16 – ‘εμπροσθεν’ – ‘emprospthen’ – ‘before, in the face of’.
