1 Corinthians XIV, 6 — ‘ἐν ἀποκαλύψει ἢ ἐν γνώσει ἢ ἐν προφητείᾳ ἢ διδαχῇ’ - ‘en apokalyspei e en gnosei e en propheteia e didakhe’ - ‘in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophecy, or in teaching; by revelation, or knowledge, or prophecy, or teaching’. Both options are possible, as well as combinations of them.
1 Corinthians XIV, 8 — ‘εἰς πόλεμον’ - ‘eis polemon’ - ‘’for the fight, the battle‘’.
1 Corinthians 14:9 — ‘εἰς ἀέρα’ - ‘eis aera’ - ‘into the air’.
1 Corinthians 14:10 — ‘ἐν κόσμῳ’ - ‘en kosmo’ - ‘in the world’. ‘ἄφωνον’ - ‘aphonon’ - ‘voiceless; soundless; without sound’. Instead of sense, Paul refers to ‘sound’. We can assume that he liked the voicing and phonetics of all languages. Paul probably also had a good ear for music.
1 Corinthians XIV, 11 — ‘ἐν ἐμοὶ’ - ‘en emoi’ - ‘in me’. Here, rather, the thought is of what the listener will be thinking internally.
1 Corinthians XIV, 19 — ‘ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ’ - ‘en ekklesia’ - ‘in the Church’. ‘ἐν γλώσσῃ’ - ‘en glosse’ - ‘in the glossolalia; as if it were a glossolalia’.

Matthew XX, 17, 18 — ‘εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα’ - ‘eis Ierosalema’ - ‘to Jerusalem’. ‘ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ’ - ‘en te odo’ - ‘on the way’. ‘εἰς θάνατον’ - ‘eis thanaton’ - ‘to death’.
Matthew XX, 19 — ‘εἰς τὸ ἐμπαῖξαι’ - ‘eis to empaixai’ - ‘to be mocked’. Here the preposition ‘eis’ indicates what will happen. ‘ἡμέρᾳ’ - ‘emera’ - ‘day’.
Matthew XX, 20 — ‘παρ’ αὐτοῦ' - par autou
- from beside Him; from Him
. The preposition ‘para’ (in a form before the vowel) here with the genitive case indicates the mother's attempt to utilise her children's closeness to Jesus.
Matthew XX, 21 — ‘εἷς ἐκ δεξιῶν’ - ‘eis ek dexion’ - ‘into (a place) on the right hand side’. ‘εἷς ἐξ εὐωνύμων’ - ‘eis ex euonimon’ - ‘in (a place) on the left side’. ‘ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ’ - ‘en te basileia’ - ‘in the Kingdom’.
Matthew XX, 23 — ‘ἐκ δεξιῶν’ - ‘ek dexion’ - ‘on the right hand side’. ‘ἐξ εὐωνύμων’ - ‘ex euonimon’ - ‘on the left side’. ‘ὑπὸ τοῦ πατρός’ - ‘hypo tou patros’ - ‘through the Father; under the Father’. The preposition ‘hypo’ is with genitive, meaning either that which is prepared through the Father, that is, by the Father, or under the authority of the Father. In both cases, it is the Father Who is to be addressed, and the Father Himself has no true reason to change this.
Matthew XX, 26, 27 — ‘ἐν ὑμῖν’ - ‘en ymin’ - ‘in you; among you’.
