(2 Corinthians IX, 6-11)
2 Corinthians IX, 7 — ‘ἐκ λύπης’ - ‘ek lypes’ - ‘with regret’. ‘ἐξ ἀνάγκης’ - ‘ex anankes’ - ‘out of necessity’. The preposition ‘ek’, also in its form before the next vowel, indicates where generosity and sacrifice should come from - not as a burden, but as a true joy of giving and likening oneself to God. True generosity here should be manifested out of a complete desire to be like the All-Generous God, who gives even in abundance and without sorrow because of His generosity, completely sincerely.

2 Corinthians IX, 8 — ‘εἰς ὑμᾶς’ - ‘eis ymas’ - ‘in you; you’. The movement of God's grace towards the readers, the faithful, is emphasised. ‘ἐν παντὶ πάντοτε πᾶσαν αὐτάρκειαν’ - ‘en panti pantote pasan autarkeian’ - ‘in every way always all sufficiency’. The idea is reinforced by the repetition of similar words. ‘εἰς πᾶν ἔργον’ - ‘eis pan ergon’ - ‘in every work’.

2 Corinthians IX, 9 — ‘εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα’ - ‘eis ton aiona’ - ‘in the age; forever’. A common expression with the meaning of the second translation.

(Luke VIII, 26-39)
Luke VIII, 26 — ‘εἰς τὴν χώραν’ - ‘eis ten khoran’ - ‘into the area'.

Luke VIII, 27 — ‘ἐκ τῆς πόλεως’ - ‘ek tes poleos’ - ‘from the city’. The preposition ‘ek’ indicates where the man was from. ‘ἐν οἰκίᾳ’ - ‘en oikia’ - ‘in the house’. ‘ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν’ - ‘en tois mnemasin’ - ‘in the tombs’.

Luke VIII, 29, 33 — ‘ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου’ - ‘apo tou anthropou’ - ‘out of (the) man’. The preposition ‘apo’ indicates that the unclean spirit had to come out completely, entirely, totally. ‘ὑπὸ τοῦ δαιμονίου’ - ‘hypo tou daimoniou’ - ‘under the demon; through the demon’. The preposition ‘hypo’ with the genitive case emphasises here the state of dependence, unfreedom, and possession. ‘εἰς τὰς ἐρήμους’ - ‘eis tas eremous’ - ‘into the desert’.

Luke VIII, 30 — ‘εἰς αὐτόν’ - ‘eis auton’ - ‘into him’.

Luke VIII, 31 — ‘εἰς τὴν ἄβυσσον’ - ‘eis ten abysson’ - ‘into the abyss’.

Luke VIII, 32 — ‘ἐν τῷ ὄρει’ - ‘en to orei’ - ‘in the mountain; on the mountain’. A regular expression with the meaning of the second translation. ‘εἰς ἐκείνους’ - ‘eis ekeinous’ - ‘’into them‘’.

Luke VIII, 33 — ‘εἰς τοὺς χοίρους’ - ‘eis tous khoirous’ - ‘into (those) pigs’. ‘εἰς τὴν λίμνην’ - ‘eis ten limnen’ - ‘into that lake’.

Luke VIII, 34 — ‘εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ εἰς τοὺς ἀγρούς’ - ‘eis ten polin kai eis tous agrous’ - ‘in the city and in the villages’. The preposition ‘eis’ emphasises the spread of the story.

Luke VIII, 35, 38 — ‘ἀφ’ οὗ' - aph ou - from whom. The preposition ‘apo’ in its form before the next vowel indicates that it is to come out completely, entirely, utterly. ‘παρὰ τοὺς πόδας’ - ‘para tous podas’ - ‘to the proximity of the feet; trying to be closer to the feet’. The preposition ‘para’ with the accusative indicates here the healed man's attempt to approach Jesus' feet, i.e. humbly to Himself.

Luke VIII, 37 — ‘ἀπ’ αὐτῶν' - ap auton - from them. The preposition ‘apo’ in its form before the next vowel indicates that they asked Jesus to go away. ‘εἰς πλοῖον’ - ‘eis ploion’ - ‘into the boat’.

Luke VIII, 39 — ‘εἰς τὸν οἶκόν’ - ‘eis ton oikon’ - ‘into the house’.
