A Lot of Joy from God!

Glory Be to Jesus Christ!

(Romanians XVI, 17-24)
Romans XVI, 17 — ‘παρὰ τὴν διδαχὴν’ - ‘para ten didakhen’ - ‘near the doctrine’. ‘para’ with the accusative is used here in a sense that is associated with the ideas of dynamical systems and chaos theory in modern language. Namely, even minor deviations for a dynamic system eventually lead to significant changes in its behaviour. Famous examples are the weather and the Lorentz attractor. ‘ἐκκλίνετε ἀπ’ αὐτῶν' - ekklinete ap auton - turn away from them.

Romans XVI, 18, 20 — ‘ἡμῶν’ - ‘emon’ - ‘us’ (our).

Romans XVI, 19 — ‘εἰς πάντας’ - ‘eis pantas’ - ‘for all’. The preposition ‘eis’ emphasises movement. ‘εἰς τὸ ἀγαθόν’, ‘εἰς τὸ κακόν’ - ‘eis to agathon’, ‘eis to kakon’ - ‘in good’, ‘in evil’.

Romans XVI, 20 — ‘ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας’ - ‘hypo tous podas’ - ‘under the feet’.

Romans 16:22 — ‘ἐν κυρίῳ’ - ‘en kyrio’ - ‘in the Lord’.

Verse 24 is missing from many ancient versions of the Epistle.

(Matthew XIII, 10-23)
Immediate continuation of the reading, which is described in detail here:
https://oleksandr-zhabenko.github.io/en/commentaries/26072024.html

Matthew XIII, 10, 13 — ‘ἐν παραβολαῖς’ - ‘en parabolais’ - ‘in parables; with parables’. Both translations are correct.

Matthew XIII, 12 — ‘ἀρθήσεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ' - arthesetai ap autou - will get away from him.

Matthew XIII, 19 — ‘παρὰ τὴν ὁδὸν’ - ‘para ten odon’ - ‘’near the road‘’.

Matthew XIII, 21 — ‘ἐν ἑαυτῷ’ - ‘en eauto’ - ‘in himself’.

Matthew XIII, 22 — ‘εἰς τὰς ἀκάνθας’ - ‘eis tas akanthas’ - ‘between the thorns; in the thorns’. Here the preposition ‘eis’ does not mean that the sower intended to sow in the thorns, but that the seeds fell there.
