(Philippians I, 12-20)
Philippians I, 12 — ‘εἰς προκοπὴν’ - ‘eis prokopen’ - ‘for advancement; for progress’. Here the preposition ‘eis’ indicates a goal.

Philippians I, 13 — ‘ἐν Χριστῷ’ - ‘en CHristo’ - ‘in Christ’. ‘ἐν ὅλῳ τῷ πραιτωρίῳ’ - ‘en olo to praitorio’ - ‘in the whole praetorium’ (i.e. the palace in Jerusalem, occupied by the Romans, or in the parts of the Praetorians, the Roman guards, in Rome).

Philippians I, 14 — ‘ἐν κυρίῳ’ - ‘en kyrio’ - ‘in the Lord’.

Philippians I, 16 — ‘εἰς ἀπολογίαν’ - ‘eis apologian’ - ‘for defence’. The preposition ‘eis’ indicates the purpose.

Philippians I, 18 — ‘ἐν τούτῳ’ - ‘en touto’ - ‘in this; by this’. Both translations are possible.
