it is written that the use of prepositions is important for the correct understanding of important and actual issues, in particular the issue of power, I am writing commentaries on the use of these prepositions. As a piece of advice on how to read the text, you can read the verse in translation and/or in the original (if you have the opportunity), and then the commentary on prepositions here. Next, you need to understand which part of the verse the commentary refers to, and consider what it affirms — or less often, denies — that is essential to understanding. This thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects against the mistakes mentioned above.

Matthew XXII, 1 — ‘ἐν παραβολαῖς’ - ‘en parabolais’ - ‘in parables; with parables’. Both translations are possible.
Matthew XXII, 3, 4, 9 — ‘εἰς τοὺς γάμους’ - ‘eis tous gamous’ - ‘into the wedding; into the marriage; at the wedding’. The meaning is the latter, i.e. ‘where to’.
Matthew XXII, 5 — ‘εἰς τὸν ἴδιον ἀγρόν’ - ‘eis ton idion agron’ - ‘into own field; to own field’. The meaning is the latter, i.e. ‘where to?'.
Matthew XXII, 10 — ‘εἰς τὰς ὁδοὺς’ - ‘eis tas hodous’ - ‘into the roads; on the roads’. The meaning is the latter, i.e. ‘where to’.
Matthew XXII, 13 — ‘εἰς τὸ σκότος τὸ ἐξώτερον’ - ‘eis to skotos to exoteron’ - ‘into the outer darkness’.

During the Great Blessing of Waters:
1 Corinthians X, 1 — ‘ὑπὸ τὴν νεφέλην’ - ‘hypo ten nephelen’ - ‘under the cloud’. The preposition ‘hypo’ here is with the accusative, indicating location.
1 Corinthians X, 2 — ‘εἰς τὸν Μωϋσῆν ἐβαπτίσθησαν ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ καὶ ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ’ - ‘eis ton Moysen ebaptisthesan en te nephele kai en te thalasse’ - ‘into Moses were baptised in the cloud and in the sea’. The preposition ‘eis’ indicates here that the faithful in those events were moving towards becoming like Moses - that is, according to God's intention, each person who is baptised becomes like Moses in that they overcome many sins, like the leader Moses in the Lord.
1 Corinthians X, 4 — ‘ἐκ πνευματικῆς ἀκολουθούσης πέτρας’ - ‘ek pneumatikes akolouthouses petras’ - ‘from the spiritual rock that was with them on the way; from the spiritual rock that accompanied them’. Literally the first, but the second is also possible. The preposition ‘ek’ indicates here where the spiritual gifts of God came from, and also Who caused them.
