A Lot of Joy from God!

🇬🇧 Glory be to Jesus Christ! 🌞💙💛

Today we remember the Last Supper of Jesus with the disciples and the institution of the Sacrament of the Eucharist, the Holy Communion of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.

The texts are very deep, due to lack of space and time I will write only brief comments on some important points.

(Luke XXII, 1-39)

There is a good essay about primacy and the desire for primacy at the link:

There is also a link about Satan’s request (Luke’s special tradition):

(1 Corinthians XI, 23-32)

The importance of the Eucharist in the life of Christians very briefly. The apostle emphasizes one idea – the memory of Jesus and the announcement of His Passion, Death and Resurrection. The Sacrament of Thanksgiving cannot be reduced to just thanksgiving, but it is inextricably linked with Jesus Christ Himself.

(Matthew XXVI, 1-20)

There is a good article about a woman and myrrh at the link:

(John XIII, 3-17)

Jesus loved to the end those faithful who are in the world – at the time when the apostles showed their greatest weakness, greatest misunderstanding, the Lord, on the contrary, gave them almost the greatest good. Until the end – that is, he loved in the greatest weakness with a single, whole, saving love – not in the sense that he had not loved like that before, but in the fact that it manifested and made itself the most evident at this time. The Lord, as God, already knew all the details of these events, all the weakness shown by the disciples, but then His love was not so obvious, but at this time it became the most obvious.

Peter’s words in dialogue with Jesus show that he is thinking at that time with his human reasoning about things, so his thoughts change to the opposite with ease as he learns more from Jesus.
