it is written that the use of prepositions is important for the correct understanding of important and actual issues, in particular the issue of power, I am writing commentaries on the use of these prepositions. As a piece of advice on how to read the text, you can read the verse in translation and/or in the original (if you have the opportunity), and then the commentary on prepositions here. Next, you need to understand which part of the verse the commentary refers to, and consider what it affirms — or less often, denies — that is essential to understanding. This thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects against the mistakes mentioned above.

Mark VII, 24 — ‘εἰς τὰ ὅρια Τύρου’ - ‘eis ta horia Tyrou’ - ‘within the boundaries of Tyre; into the territory of Tyre’. ‘εἰς οἰκίαν’ - ‘eis oikian’ - ‘into (a) house’.
Mark VII, 26, 29 — ‘ἐκ τῆς θυγατρὸς’ - ‘ek tes thygatros’ - ‘out of the daughter’. The preposition ‘ek’ here indicates from where the demon was to be cast out.
Mark VII, 28 — ‘ἀπὸ τῶν ψιχίων τῶν παιδίων’ - ‘apo ton psikhion ton paidion’ - ‘from the crumbs of children (children's children)’. The preposition ‘apo’ indicates that they eat separately from the children.
Mark VII, 30 — ‘εἰς τὸν οἶκον’ - ‘eis ton oikon’ - ‘into the house’.

To the Apostle Peter on the occasion of the honouring of his honourable chains:
Acts XII, 1 — ‘τινας τῶν ἀπὸ τῆς ἐκκλησίας’ - ‘tinas ton apo tes ekklesias’ - ‘some of the Church’. The preposition ‘apo’ indicates here that this was a selective oppression, not affecting everyone.
Acts XII, 4 — ‘εἰς φυλακήν’ - ‘eis phylaken’ - ‘into prison’.
Acts XII, 5 — ‘ἐν τῇ φυλακῇ’ - ‘en te phylake’ - ‘in prison’. ‘γινομένη ὑπὸ τῆς ἐκκλησίας’ - ‘ginomene hypo tes ekklesias’ - ‘ were performed by the Church’. The preposition ‘hypo’ is with the genitive case and indicates a passive voice.
Acts XII, 7 — ‘ἐν τῷ οἰκήματι’ - ‘en to oikemati’ - ‘in the prison cell’. ‘ἀνάστα ἐν τάχει’ - ‘anasta en takhei’ - ‘get up (raise up, raise, stand up) quickly’. A common expression. ‘ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν’ - ‘ek ton kheiron’ - ‘out of the hand’. The preposition ‘ek’ indicates where the chains came from.
Acts XII, 10 — ‘εἰς τὴν πόλιν’ - ‘eis ten polin’ - ‘into the city; to the city’. ‘ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ' - ap autou

. The preposition ‘apo’ in its form before the following vowel indicates that the angel had completely left Peter, so it was not the apostle's guardian angel, but another, additional one.
Acts XII, 11 — ‘ἐν ἑαυτῷ’ - ‘en heauto’ - ‘in himself’. ‘ἐκ χειρὸς Ἡρῴδου καὶ πάσης τῆς προσδοκίας τοῦ λαοῦ τῶν Ἰουδαίων’ - ‘ek kheiros Herodou kai pases tes prosdokias tou laou ton Ioudaion’ - ‘out of the hand of Herod and the expectation of all the Jewish people’. The preposition ‘ek’ indicates from where the Lord delivered Peter.

John XXI, 20 — ‘ἐν τῷ δείπνῳ’ - ‘en to deipno’ - ‘at the supper’.
John XXI, 23 — ‘εἰς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς’ - ‘eis tous adelphous’ - ‘in the brethren; among the brethren’. The preposition ‘eis’ indicates the spread of the words among the brethren.
