it is written that the use of prepositions has important significance for the correct understanding of important and topical questions, particularly the question of power, I am writing comments regarding the use of precisely these prepositions. As advice regarding reading what is written — one can read the verse in translation or/and original (whoever has such possibility), and then the corresponding comment regarding prepositions here. Then it is necessary to understand which part of the verse the comment concerns, and also to consider what essential for understanding it affirms — or more rarely — denies. Such thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects from the mentioned mistakes.

Liturgy:
(1 Thessalonians III, 9-13)
1 Thessalonians III, 10 — 'εἰς τὸ ἰδεῖν' - 'eis to idein' - so that to see; so that to look well at. The preposition 'eis' indicates here the purpose.

1 Thessalonians III, 12 — 'τῇ ἀγάπῃ εἰς ἀλλήλους καὶ εἰς πάντας' - 'te agape eis allelous kai eis pantas' - love towards one another and towards all. 'εἰς ὑμᾶς' - 'eis hymas' - towards you. Here the preposition 'eis' indicates the directedness of love towards someone.

1 Thessalonians III, 13 — 'εἰς τὸ στηρίξαι' - 'eis to sterixai' - may He strengthen; so that to strengthen. Both variants of translation are possible, it is spoken about the purpose of the action. 'ἐν ἁγιωσύνῃ' - 'en hagiosyne' - in holiness; with holiness. Both variants of translation are possible, the first indicates that holiness in every way contributes to innocence, that is, the absence of sin and guilt, and the second — that holiness itself is the mover towards purification, purity, innocence. 'ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ' - 'en te parousia' - at the Coming. When.

The Apostle Paul praises the Thessalonians, asks God about that He give to see them, about spiritual growth and thanks God.
