Hebrews III, 6 — 'ἡμεῖς' - 'emeis' - 'we'.
Hebrews III, 8 — 'ἡμέραν' - 'emeran' - (in) 'day'.
As Christmas approaches, the readings also remind us of the importance of faith.
The example is that the Jews, who did not believe God in the desert, were unable to enter the Land of Promise because of this, even though they had been travelling there for 40 years. It is the same with Jesus — but to a higher degree, it is needed to listen to Him and to believe Him and in Him as the Son of God.
