Mark I, 43 — 'ἐμβριμησάμενος' — 'embrimesamenos' - 'having spoken strictly and indignantly' - from 'ἐμβριμάομαι'. The strictness after the show of mercy and healing was meant to move the man to obey and fulfil. The human indignation
- another possible translation is strong dissatisfaction
- is caused by the fact that Christ, as God, knew that the man would do something to the contrary, which would harm the preaching of Christ - see the end of the chapter.
