it is written that the use of prepositions has important significance for the correct understanding of important and topical questions, particularly the question of power, I am writing comments regarding the use of precisely these prepositions. As advice regarding reading what is written — one can read the verse in translation or/and original (whoever has such possibility), and then the corresponding comment regarding prepositions here. Then it is necessary to understand which part of the verse the comment concerns, and also to consider what essential for understanding it affirms — or more rarely — denies. Such thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects from the mentioned mistakes.

Liturgy:
(Hebrews IX, 8-10, 15-23)
Hebrews IX, 9 — 'παραβολὴ εἰς τὸν καιρὸν τὸν ἐνεστηκότα' - 'parabole eis ton kairon ton enestekota' - a figure (parable, eloquent silent testimony, something that carries great meaning) for the given time [that is about which it is spoken]. It is meant the extraordinary significance of the tabernacle in its time.

Hebrews IX, 15 — 'εἰς ἀπολύτρωσιν' - 'eis apolytrosin' - for redemption. The preposition 'eis' indicates here the purpose.

Hebrews IX, 19 — 'ὑπὸ Μωϋσέως' - 'hypo Moyseos' - by Moses. The preposition 'hypo' here with the genitive case and indicates here the passive voice of the participle declared (by whom?).

Hebrews IX, 23 — 'τὰ μὲν ὑποδείγματα τῶν ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς' - 'ta men hypodeigmata ton en tois ouranois' - truly figures of those that are in the heavens. 'κρείττοσιν θυσίαις παρὰ ταύτας' - 'kreittosin thysiais para tautas' - with stronger (better, more powerful) sacrifices to the proximity with these [that is in careful juxtaposition with these]. The preposition 'para' here with the accusative and indicates here juxtaposition, comparison.

The Old Testament sacred objects and actions were prefigurations of the New Testament Sacrifice of Christ. About redemption see more at the link:

(Mark VIII, 22-26)
Mark VIII, 22 — 'εἰς Βηθσαϊδάν' — 'eis Bethsaidan' - to Bethsaida. Where to.

Mark VIII, 23 — 'πτύσας εἰς τὰ ὄμματα αὐτοῦ' — 'ptysas eis to ommata autou' - having spat on his eyes. The preposition 'eis' indicates the direction of Jesus' action — concerning the eyes, which were ill.

Mark VIII, 26 — 'εἰς οἶκον αὐτοῦ' — 'eis oikon autou' - to his (own) house. Where to. 'εἰς τὴν κώμην' - 'eis ten komen' - into the village (settlement, town). Where to.

The healing to a certain degree reminds of the healing by Christ of the man born blind, about which it is spoken in detail in the Gospel of John, about which I wrote in detail at the link (in particular about the healing itself):
