let us consider the following question.

I wrote in On the God's existence and testimonies about it that we may not be intelligent enough to see that something is testimony about God. Now I have to write more about what this means.

Let's look at the Parable of the steward of iniquity in Luke XVI. It describes a situation where a steward who was neither good nor righteous, nor responsible, resorted to deception in order to maintain his position. And Christ compares a person to this steward. Where most people, people who care, will see something completely different and will not think of an analogy with the Kingdom of God, Christ offers the latter. He focuses attention on this analogy.

And many believers lack this focus. And this creates relaxation, sluggishness in the sphere of understanding, which is one of the key components of what I call insufficient intelligence.

I note that Christ Himself gives the same assessment in the words at the end of the Parable of the steward.

There is actually originality of thought here. After all, if we see unrighteousness, injustice, we tend to think about the sin itself, its causes, how to fight it, and weak people may even be tempted. Or we can show originality of thinking, originality of vision, depth of mind and think about what this story can give us for understanding the Kingdom of God. I must say that, of course, we need to fight against sins and overcome them. But very often, almost always, people lack the very vision that allows them to cognise the Kingdom of God. And this is what is generally called insufficient intelligence. No, this is not about the limited cognitive capacities of a person, although it is also important, but rather about the fact that people's minds are not directed to the vision of the Kingdom of God, to analogies with it, to something truly high.

Glory be to Thee, our God, glory be to Thee!
