it is written that the use of prepositions has important significance for the correct understanding of important and topical questions, particularly the question of power, I am writing comments regarding the use of precisely these prepositions. As advice regarding reading what is written — one can read the verse in translation or/and original (whoever has such possibility), and then the corresponding comment regarding prepositions here. Then it is necessary to understand which part of the verse the comment concerns, and also to consider what essential for understanding it affirms — or more rarely — denies. Such thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects from the mentioned mistakes.

(2 Corinthians XI, 5-21)
2 Corinthians XI, 6 — 'ἐν παντὶ φανερώσαντες ἐν πᾶσιν εἰς ὑμᾶς' - 'en panti phanerosantes en pasin eis hymas' - everywhere manifested in everything for you. The preposition 'eis' indicates the purpose here.

2 Corinthians XI, 9 — 'ἀπὸ Μακεδονίας' - 'apo Makedonias' - from Macedonia. The preposition 'apo' emphasises that they left Macedonia. 'ἐν παντὶ' - 'en panti' - in everything.

2 Corinthians XI, 10 — 'εἰς ἐμὲ ἐν τοῖς κλίμασιν τῆς Ἀχαΐας' - 'eis eme en tois klimasin tes Akhaias' - for me in the territories of Achaia. For whom and where.

2 Corinthians XI, 12, 21 — 'ἐν ᾧ καυχῶνται ' - 'en o kaukhontai' - in what they boast; with what they boast. Both translation variants are possible.

2 Corinthians XI, 13 — 'εἰς ἀποστόλους' - 'eis apostolous' - into apostles. The demonstrative transformation is emphasised.

2 Corinthians XI, 14 — 'εἰς ἄγγελον' - 'eis angelon' - into an angel. The transformation is emphasised.

2 Corinthians XI, 17, 21 — 'ἐν ἀφροσύνῃ' - 'en aphrosyne' - in foolishness. 'ἐν ταύτῃ' - 'en taute' - in the same; with the same.

2 Corinthians XI, 20 — 'εἰς πρόσωπον' - 'eis prosopon' - in the face.

2 Corinthians XI, 21 — 'ἐν ᾧ' - 'en ho' - in what; with what. Both translation variants are possible. 'ἐν ἀφροσύνῃ' - 'en aphosyne' - in lack of reason; unreasonably; foolishly. How. The Apostle does not encourage speaking about oneself and one's achievements. Mark IV, 1 — 'εἰς πλοῖον' - 'eis ploion' - into a boat. Where to. 'ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ' - 'en te thalasse' - in the sea. Where.

Mark IV, 2 — 'ἐν παραβολαῖς πολλά' - 'en parabolais polla' - in many parables; with many parables. Both translation variants are possible. 'ἐν τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ' - 'en te didakhe autou' - in His teaching.

Mark IV, 4 — 'ἐν τῷ σπείρειν' - 'en to speirein' - when he was sowing; during sowing. When. 'παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν' - 'para ten hodon' - near the road. The preposition 'para' here is with accusative and indicates that the grain fell closer to the road.
