it is written that the use of prepositions has important significance for the correct understanding of important and topical questions, particularly the question of power, I am writing comments regarding the use of precisely these prepositions. As advice regarding reading what is written — one can read the verse in translation or/and original (whoever has such possibility), and then the corresponding comment regarding prepositions here. Then it is necessary to understand which part of the verse the comment concerns, and also to consider what essential for understanding it affirms — or more rarely — denies. Such thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects from the mentioned mistakes.

Liturgy:
1 Timothy VI, 17 — 'ἐν τῷ νῦν αἰῶνι' — 'en to nyn aioni' - in the present age
. 'εἰς ἀπόλαυσιν' - 'eis apolausin' - for enjoyment; so that we may enjoy
. Here the preposition 'eis' indicates the purpose of the action.
1 Timothy VI, 18 — 'ἐν ἔργοις καλοῖς' — 'en ergois kalois' - in good works; with good works
. Both variants of translation are possible.
1 Timothy VI, 19 — 'εἰς τὸ μέλλον' — 'eis to mellon' - for the future; for that which is about to be
. The preposition 'eis' indicates here the purpose.
The Epistle concludes with a brief greeting and wishes.

Luke XVIII, 31 — 'εἰς Ἱερουσαλήμ' — 'eis Hierousalem' - to Jerusalem

Luke XVIII, 34 — 'ἀπ' αὐτῶν' — 'ap auton' - from them
. The preposition 'apo' in its form before the following vowel indicates that the words were completely hidden
, completely incomprehensible.
The Lord Jesus Christ openly foretells to the disciples His future Sufferings, Death and Resurrection, but the disciples do not understand.
