Glory be to Jesus Christ!

Today's reading is preceded and continued by the one I wrote about here:

1 Thessalonians V, 18 — 'ἐν παντὶ εὐχαριστεῖτε' - 'en panti eukharisteite' - 'in everything give thanks'. In other words, in different circumstances, we need to find (see) what we can thank God for and do it.
1 Thessalonians V, 21 — 'πάντα δὲ δοκιμάζετε' - 'panta de dokimazete' - 'test, examine, prove everything'. This verse is a continuation of the previous one, meaning that one should remember prophecies and try to see them - but accept that they have been fulfilled only in the best case, in a good sense. In other words, one should not be gullible or, on the contrary, indifferent and insensitive.
1 Thessalonians V, 23 — 'ἡμῶν' - 'emon' - 'us' (our).
Luke XVII, 4 — 'ἡμέρας' - 'emeras' - 'day'.
Luke XVII, 5 — 'ἡμῖν' - 'emin' - (to) 'us'.
Luke XVII, 6 — 'κόκκον' - 'kokkon' - 'seed, grain, kernel of a seed'.
Luke briefly presents several of Jesus' teachings, about which Matthew and Mark have more.

Next, the Lord teaches humility. Here, humility is presented as arising from the realisation of the incomparable difference between God and people, between the Creator and the creation. It also refers to humility before God. No distinction is made between people, i.e. humility in this Gospel reading does not refer to humility in relations with other people at all, but only with God. At the same time, it is impossible to call complete the vision and life of a person who is humble, as described here, before God, but exalts themselves, puts themselves above other people. This second component is discussed more in other places of the Gospel and the Epistles, in particular, refer to the following links:
