it is written that the use of prepositions has important significance for the correct understanding of important and topical questions, particularly the question of power, I am writing comments regarding the use of precisely these prepositions. As advice regarding reading what is written — one can read the verse in translation or/and original (whoever has such possibility), and then the corresponding comment regarding prepositions here. Then it is necessary to understand which part of the verse the comment concerns, and also to consider what essential for understanding it affirms — or more rarely — denies. Such thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects from the mentioned mistakes.

Liturgy:
(2 Thessalonians I, 10-II, 2)
2 Thessalonians I, 10 — 'ἐν τοῖς ἁγίοις αὐτοῦ' — 'en tois hagiois autou' — in His saints; with His saints. Since the glory of the saints does not increase the glory of God by essence, the first variant of translation is better. 'ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς πιστεύσασιν' - 'en pasin tois pisteusasin' - in all who have believed. Analogously to the previous. 'ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ' - 'en te hemera ekeine' - in that day.

2 Thessalonians I, 11 — 'Εἰς ὃ' — 'Eis ho' - For this. The preposition 'eis' indicates here the purpose of the action. 'ἐν δυνάμει' - 'en dynamei' - in power; with power. By meaning the second translation here is better.

2 Thessalonians I, 12 — 'ἐν ὑμῖν' — 'en hymin' - in you. The faithful, being followers of Christ and bearing to a certain measure His name, living according to God's will, will glorify God. 'ἐν αὐτῷ' - 'en auto' - in Him. It is spoken about that Christ glorifies the faithful.

2 Thessalonians II, 2 — 'εἰς τὸ μὴ ταχέως σαλευθῆναι ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ τοῦ νοὸς' — 'eis to me takheos saleuthenai hymas apo tou noos' - so that you not quickly be shaken from the mind (manner of thinking; worldview). The preposition 'eis' here indicates the purpose of the action, and the preposition 'apo' indicates the false cause: the apostle means that although someone thinks it reasonable to consider that the Kingdom of God has already come (considers this to be the mind), but in reality — no, because it has not yet come until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

With regard to the expectation of the glorious Second Coming of Jesus Christ the apostle urges the faithful to good and growth in faith and piety.

(Luke XII, 42-48 )
Luke XII, 42 — 'ἐν καιρῷ τὸ σιτομέτριον' — 'en kairo to sitometrion' - in time; in due time. Common expression. When.

Luke XII, 45 — 'ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ' — 'en te kardia autou' - in his heart. Where.

Luke XII, 46 — 'ἐν ἡμέρᾳ' — 'en hemera' - in the day. 'ἐν ὥρᾳ' - 'en hora' - in the hour. When.

Luke XII, 48 — 'παρ' αὐτοῦ' — 'par autou' - from beside him. The preposition 'para' in its form before the following vowel here with the genitive case. Such construction is used regarding the procession of the Holy Spirit from the Father and regarding the human nature of Jesus Christ. See at the links:

It can be thought that since a person is given God's gifts through the Son of God and the Holy Spirit, the Lord also expects from those to whom much is given, likeness to Christ, godlikeness and fruits of the Holy Spirit.

In general here it is spoken mostly about readiness for God's judgement, God's visitations.
