Happy Day of the Holy Spirit!

it is written that the use of prepositions is important for the correct understanding of important and actual issues, in particular the issue of power, I am writing commentaries on the use of these prepositions. As a piece of advice on how to read the text, you can read the verse in translation and/or in the original (if you have the opportunity), and then the commentary on prepositions here. Next, you need to understand which part of the verse the commentary refers to, and consider what it affirms — or less often, denies — that is essential to understanding. This thoughtful reading helps to deepen understanding and protects against the mistakes mentioned above.

Liturgy:
(Ephesians V, 8-19)

(Matthew XVIII, 10-20)
Matthew XVIII, 10, 14, 19 — 'ἐν οὐρανοῖς' - 'en ouranois' - in heavens. Where.

Matthew XVIII, 12 — 'ἓν ἐξ αὐτῶν' - 'hen ex auton' - one of them. The preposition 'ek' in its form before the following vowel indicates here that that sheep is similar to the others, at least in its sheep (see — human according to the meaning of the parable) nature.

Matthew XVIII, 18 — 'ἐν οὐρανῷ' - 'en ourano' - in heaven; by heaven. Rather the first, because the second means using the heaven as an instrument or means for binding-loosing.

Matthew XVIII, 19 — 'ἐξ ὑμῶν' - 'ex ymon' - from among you. The preposition 'ex' (form of 'ek' before the following vowel) indicates from where these two are. 'παρὰ τοῦ πατρός' - 'para tou patros' - from beside the Father. The expression is analogous to the words about the Holy Spirit, therefore it is about what will also happen from the Holy Spirit, and, consequently, also from the Son. At the same time this emphasises that for this one needs to ask in the Holy Spirit. See more at the links:

'ἐν οὐρανοῖς' — 'en ouranois' - in heavens. Here in the plural, which indicates that the Father can answer prayers in a very generous way.

Matthew XVIII, 20 — 'εἰς τὸ ἐμὸν ὄνομα' - 'eis to emon onoma' - in(to) My name. Here the preposition 'eis' means that they are gathered for Christ according to His will. 'ἐν μέσῳ' - 'en meso' - in the midst. Common expression.
